Robert brings to Triple Ring his unique interdisciplinary approach to product design which blends product development, multimedia, and design strategy. Leveraging some of the latest digital and physical production techniques, he delivers award-winning products and experiences across healthcare, emerging technologies, and sustainability. Providing a bridge between disciplines, Robert collaborates with cross-functional teams to create and realize compelling visions for new technologies. Recent work includes concept design of several groundbreaking microfluidic biomedical devices and solutions for environmental challenges. At heart, Robert is a results-oriented maker who is passionate about finding practical solutions to complex challenges.
Before joining Triple Ring, Robert was the Lead Designer at Draper, an engineering innovation nonprofit, where he developed a wide range of deliverables for internal R&D and commercial, government, and academic partners. Prior to Draper, he held a series of senior positions at Conduit, Pentagram, and Crye Associates on projects spanning wearable technology, interactive multimedia, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Robert’s work has received several awards including the 2019 TIME Magazine Invention of the Year for the Microplastics-Sensing AUV. He has been an adjunct professor of design and 3D media at The Cooper Union, Tyler School of Art & Architecture at Temple University, Massachusetts College of Art & Design, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University.
Robert holds a BFA from The Cooper Union, an MFA from Bard College, and a certificate from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
